Left panel: comparison of the column densities of neutral gas measured from CO toward the AGN (NH(CO); in units of H atoms per cm2) with the column densities derived by modeling the absorption of X-rays (NH(Xabs); Ricci et al. 2017a) in the galaxies listed in Table 3 and in NGC 613. In this comparison we use the HSR datasets of ALMA for the core sample of GATOS. The blue color is used to draw the 1:1 line, while the red color identifies the linear bisector fit to te data. Right panel: comparison of the average surface density of molecular gas measured for the molecular tori of the galaxies listed in Table 3 ((CO), in units of H atoms per cm2) with the corresponding column density derived in Sect. 7.2 by modeling the reflection of hard X-rays (NH(Xref)). Errorbars at the lower right corners in both panels account for the total uncertainties on the molecular gas mass estimates due to the assumed conversion factors (∼±0.2 dex), and for a ±0.15 dex uncertainty on the gas column densities derived from the modeling of X-rays.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
