GASS: The Parkes Galactic All-Sky Survey. Update: Improved correction for instrumental effects and new data release

The Parkes Galactic All-Sky Survey (GASS) maps the Galactic atomic hydrogen emission in the southern sky for declinations below 1 degree. The present article presents an optimized analysis of the data addressing the issue of residual systematic effects due to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). This reanalysis produces a revised dataset, GASS III, compatible with previous releases and with increased quality.
