Notes. In mock dataset C, each set of mock observations has a unique combination of input parameters. This dataset was constructed to have P_nt/P_tot profiles with shapes that are qualitatively similar to those that we obtain for Abell 1689. In particular, each model profile corresponding to these mocks has a minimum in P_nt/P_tot within the intermediate radial region. To compare the recovered P_nt with the model, we used its value at 1 Mpc.
