Gas-mass fraction computed from our fits to the gas and total mass density (in blue) compared to the ensemble average profile obtained from simulated galaxy clusters from The300 (in pink) used in the analysis of Rasia et al. (2025). The 68% credible region and intrinsic scatter are shown in the shaded region of the respective profiles. We also show a matched sample of five simulated galaxy clusters used in the analysis of Rasia et al. (2025) that have a similar mass and concentration relation to Abell 1689 as dashed purple lines. Additionally, we compared to the result from Eckert et al. (2019), who provide the median value of the gas-mass fraction obtained from a sample of 12 observed galaxy clusters at R500c. Shaded gray denotes regions where the mass distribution may not be fully constrained from the observed WL shear signal (see Section 5.2).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
