WHAN (left) and BPT (right) diagnostic diagrams (see Sect. 4.2.1) for the ten GMC studied using emission line ratios of the optical spectra from MUSE. We prefer the term “starburst+shocks” (SB+Shocks) over the commonly used “composite” given the findings highlighted in Sect. 4.2.1.
