Parameter study for the factor s, which determines the steepness of the transition from sweep-up growth to coagulation-fragmentation equilibrium in Eq. (29). Heat maps show the deviation of the growth rate in TriPoD from the growth rate in DustPy. The lower row shows the average over the size dimension. The influence of a variation in s can be seen around the fragmentation limit, where a larger s corresponds to a steeper transition (fast growth close to the fragmentation limit), while a small s corresponds to a slower transition where growth rates decrease earlier and more slowly. The case of s = 3 has the overall best fit with the DustPy model.
