Projected number density profile of the galactic component as a function of the radial distance from the cluster center. For each cluster, the circularized radius R was measured in terms of the half-mass radius defined on the basis of its stellar mass distribution. The bins were obtained by dividing the range of observed R/R_hm of each cluster into 20 subintervals. The error bars are 1σ. As briefly described in the text, the profiles are affected by the sample incompleteness in a nontrivial way.
