Cosmological ghost condensate density ρ as a function of the scale factor a relative to its density ρ0 today, at a = 1, for various values of the combination Q0/𝒵0. This is for m = 1 Mpc−1, KB = 0.1, H0 = 70 km s−1 Mpc−1, and Ω0 = 0.25. The ghost condensate follows a dust-like evolution only at late times. Larger values of m allow for dust-like evolution even at a = 10−4 but are in conflict with having MOND-like behavior around galaxies.
