Footprint of the eFEDS field on the eROSITA RGB sky map, as observed during e12. Red, green, and blue indicate the emission in the 0.3–0.6, 0.6–1.0, and 1.0–2.3 keV energy bands. The radiation within the eFEDS field is rather homogeneous and characteristic of the soft X-ray emission observed at latitudes away from the Galactic plane and away from the Galactic center. The dark stripe along the Galactic plane is primarily the byproduct of higher extinction there.
