Planetary mass estimate as a function of the assumed evolutionary track, atmospheric model and age uncertainties for the PDS70b protoplanet. Colors represent the different bands considered here and are reported at the bottom of each band. Markers and their error-bars represent the mass estimates when the age is assumed to be known and exact (τ = 8 Myr, σAge = 0 Myr) when using AMES-Dusty (squares), BT-Settl (circles) and BEX-Warm+Cond (diamond). Shaded areas represent the same measurement considering different uncertainties (σAge = 3 Myr for the more intensely colored regions, σAge = 5 Myr for the more transparent regions). The gray region represents the 68% confidence level range of the value for dynamical mass of PDS70b calculated in Wang et al. (2021) thanks to the astrometric precision of the VLTI/GRAVITY instrument.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
