H_δ and D_n4000 of AGNs (red circles) and galaxies (blue contours) in the reference sample. The D_n4000 of galaxies appears double peaked with one peak at D_n4000 ∼ 1.2 and a second peak at D_n4000 ∼ 1.8. On the other hand, AGNs present a peak at D_n4000 ∼ 1.4 and a long tail that extends out to D_n4000 ∼ 1.8. Regarding H_δ, the distribution of AGNs shows a peak at Hδ ∼ 3, while galaxies in the reference catalogue have a flatter distribution.
