Metallicity dependence on for the stars selected by the nGC3 method that have a measured metallicity and absorption. Only those stars between 20 kpc and 50 kpc are shown (884 RRab), coloured according to their apparent magnitude. The dashed line corresponds to the mean metallicity (−1.61 dex) whereas the solid line is the running median and 1σ interval within bins of 50° every 25°. On the right, we include the metallicity distribution and a Gaussian fit to the data: μ = −1.61 dex and σ = 0.61 dex.
