Definition of polarization angle. Left: the orientation of the main beam frame, (XYZ)MB, with respect to the line-of-sight (LOS) frame, (XYZ)LOS, is defined by the three angles θuv, φuv, and ψuv. The intermediate frame, (XYZ)DX, is the detector frame, defined by the two angles θuv and φuv. Right: the angle ψpol is defined with respect to XMB and represents the orientation of the polarization ellipse along the beam line of sight. It is very close to 0 or 90 deg for the S and M radiometers, respectively.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
