Comparison between the LFI and HFI implementations of the maximum-likelihood estimator code to measure polarized flux densities. The comparison was performed using the 100 GHz FFP8 maps, and the locations of the point sources included in the simulation, because the polarization pipelines perform non-blind extractions. The recovered fractional difference of the polarized flux densities of the two methods, defined as (recovered − true)/true, is plotted against the true polarized flux density, as simulated in the FFP8 maps. The results from the LFI pipeline, IFCAPOL, are shown by the green diamonds, and the results from the HFI pipeline, PwSPOL, are shown by the blue crosses.
