Young stellar object jet models: From theory to synthetic observations

by O. Tesileanu, T. Matsakos, S. Massaglia, et al., A&A 562, A117

The authors present the first two-component numerical jet simulations, starting from analytical models that include ionization and optically thin radiation losses. The method demonstrates promising results for modeling specific young stellar object outflows. The generation of synthetic emission maps provides the link to observations.
