The tree shows three main branches, whose [Fe/H], [O/Fe], [Al/Fe], and [La/Fe] are shown in the right-hand panels. The GC branch has properties similar to globular clusters. The Block and Child branches have extended metallicity and [La/Fe] distributions, supporting in-situ star formation for a prolonged duration. However, their [O/Fe] and [Al/Fe] trends are distinct, suggesting that they had different star formation histories and explaining why they are placed on different branches and GMM groups.
