Example of two-body VOSA fits. The top panel shows a typical MS-dominated WDMS binary in our sample. The combination of models (purple for the secondary star and cyan for the WD) seem to fit relatively well the observed data (red dots). However, the effective temperature of the WD is too low. Clearly, such a low-luminosity WD would not be seen against a 3000 K secondary M star. The middle panel illustrates an example of a bad fit, especially in the ultraviolet range. The bottom panel shows what we consider a good fit, where the models match the observed data at all wavelengths.
