Schematic showing the angles used in this work to study alignments. From left to right, the angles θint, θsat, and θch are displayed. The first, θint, represents the alignment between the stellar and DM components of the BGG. The second, θsat, corresponds to the angle between the principal axes of the BGG and the position of a satellite galaxy. Finally, θch describes the angle between the principal axes of the BGG and those of the host DM halo of the group.
