Schematic of our framework. Cosmic HII regions are shown in blue, embedded in an otherwise neutral IGM. We observe Lyman-α spectra from a group of galaxies (three example galaxies are denoted A, B, and C), and we wish to infer the central HII bubble (characterized by a sphere with radius Rb and center 𝒪b). Our framework combines the complimentary information provided by neighboring sightlines toward the galaxies (red arrows) to account for the main sources of stochasticity.
