Examples of model setup. All objects are to scale apart from the NS size (cyan color). From top to bottom, we used three different sets, for LX and Rin; [0, RBe], [1039 erg/s, RBe], and [1039 erg/s, 2RBe]. In all cases, T0 was set at 30 000 K, Rout was set at 9RBe, and the inclination at 45°. The colors indicate ΔT compared to the minimum temperature of each object element and were computed separately for disk and star for illustration purposes. If the Be disk touches the Be star surface, then its maximum temperature is at that point, regardless of irradiation or not.
