Table 2.

Best-fit results of the X-ray surface brightness profile modeling.

System Model β rc, 1 (kpc) rc, 2 (kpc) χ2 / d.o.f.
A795 Single-β 0.48 ± 0.02 45.7 ± 5.2 257.1 / 67 (3.84)
Double-β 0.59 ± 0.03 59.8 ± 6.7 317.8 ± 34.5 216.0 / 65 (3.32)

Galaxy group (A795-B) Single-β 0.52 ± 0.17 28.2 ± 13.1 54.51 / 56 (0.97)

Notes. The first two rows report the best-fit parameters of the single and double β model for the surface brightness profile of A795. The last row shows the best-fit parameters of the single β model fitted to the surface brightness profile of the extended X-ray source 7.36′ northwest of A795, that we interpret as a candidate galaxy group at a similar redshift of A795 (see Sect. 3.2.2 and Fig. 3). The profiles for A795 and the galaxy group are shown in left and right panels of Fig. 4, respectively.
