Perseus catalogue of 1220 galaxies plotted over the 0.7 deg2 sky coverage alongside the Planck dust map [average E(BV) = 0.156]. The colour map for the galaxies is scaled from red to black according to the absolute magnitude ranging from M(IE) = −24 to −10 (Fig. 23). Measured ellipticity and angular size are depicted for the bright galaxies, while all 1083 dwarfs are represented as round dots, exaggerated in size relative to their physical dimensions. The three largest ellipses are NGC 1275 and NGC 1272 on the lower left, and NGC 1265 at the top.
