Comparison of inertial dips obtained in the case of a continuous (blue) or discontinuous (red) Brunt-Väisälä profile near-core for the same value of differential rotation Ωenvcore = 0.95 and parameters Γ = Γ = 1.0 h $ \tilde{\Gamma} = 1.0 \text{ h} $, corresponding to ϵ = 6.19 × 10−3 and ϵ = 8.30 × 10 3 $ \tilde{\epsilon} = 8.30\times 10^{-3} $. No discontinuity of the density in the near-core region is taken into account in the discontinuous case.
