Dependence of Mg II absorption on different galaxy properties. From left to right and top to bottom: log(M*), log(SFR), log(sSFR), redshift z, inclination i, azimuthal angle α, velocity dispersion at 2 Rd, circular velocity at 2 Rd, and v/σ at 2 Rd as a function of the impact parameter for the isolated galaxies. Galaxies associated with absorption with W r 2796 $ W_{\mathrm{r} }^{2796} $ > 0.1 Å are represented by blue dots. Galaxies with no absorption detected, or absorptions with W r 2796 $ W_{\mathrm{r} }^{2796} $ < 0.1 Å, are represented by gray crosses. For M, SFR, sSFR, and z, we show all 128 isolated galaxies (the 66 log(M/M) > 9 isolated galaxies are represented with big markers and the 62 log(M/M) < 9 isolated galaxies are represented by small ones). For inclination, velocity dispersion, circular velocity, and v/σ, we only show rotation-dominated isolated galaxies (55) and for α, those with i > 30° (46).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
