Examples of 91T-like (black) and 99aa-like (grey) maximum light spectra are shown compared to the labelled spectra of SN 1991T, SN 1999aa, and SN 2011fe at similar phases. The key features for identifying these SNe Ia are marked. Each spectrum has been corrected for MW extinction (Schlafly & Finkbeiner 2011).
