Illustrative temporal evolution of a magnetic model with a 1 kG radial magnetic field. The colour scale represents the logarithm of density in cgs units, while the blue lines depict the magnetic field lines. Beginning with a spherically symmetric initial condition (left panel) threaded by a uniform magnetic field in radial direction, the model develops significant density and velocity variations after two to four days (middle panel; time = 3 d) and maintains them until the end of the simulation at approximately nine days (right panel; time = 6 d).
