Orbits of NGC 1261 (upper row) and NGC 1904 (lower row). Each column presents a different plane projection in galactocentric coordinates. The red star indicates the present position of each GC and the simulation particles are overplotted in this coordinate system. The purple line represents the integrated orbit of each cluster where the direction of orbit is indicated by the red arrow in the middle panels. The orange line connects the cluster to the centre of the Galaxy. We see that NGC 1261 is close to apocentre, but has passed it and is moving closer to pericentre, while NGC 1904 is approaching and is very close to its orbit’s apocentre.
