Spatial variation in the TPCF of NGC 5457 (SFCs with magnitude error < 0.15): The four quadrants of NGC 5457 have quite different values of l_corr from each other. This implies that the conditions of star formation can be significantly different in different parts of the galaxy and the global hierarchical parameters of a galaxy can be quite different than the local hierarchy parameters.
