TPCF for NGC 5194 and NGC 5457 with a modified age-cut of 50 Myr and 20 Myr, respectively. We found that this new young population of SFCs shows hierarchical behaviour but the older population does not, as evidenced by the quite shallow slope of their TPCF. This infers that the hierarchical distribution of star formation dissipates in NGC 5194 and NGC 5457 roughly over timescales of 50 and 20 Myr, respectively. In addition, we found that even with the modified age-cuts, the lcorr and D2 values for these galaxies do not change significantly in comparison to the values derived using the original 10 Myr age-cut to distinguish between young and old SFCs.
