The total Doppler broadening is a combination of the thermal and turbulent broadening ( b tot 2 = b th 2 + b turb 2 $ b_{\mathrm{tot}}^{2} = b_{\mathrm{th}}^{2} + b_{\mathrm{turb}}^{2} $). In this case T = 1.0 × 104 K.
