A z = 6.3 merging system found in the SERRA simulation suite (Pallottini et al. 2022) selected from the Kohandel et al. (2024) sample. The central galaxy (“Adenia”) has log(M_⋆/M_⊙) = 10.1 and SFR ≃ 42 M_⊙ yr⁻¹; its kinematics at z ∼ 7.7 was analyzed in Rizzo et al. (2022). The physical scale of the snapshots is reported in the top left corner of each panel (i.e., 1 kpc).
