Table 1.

Description of the SHAMe and HOD parameters.

SHAMe

Parameter Description
σlum The scatter between the subhalo property (Vpeak) and the luminosity of the galaxies
tmerger Dimensionless free parameter that effectively regulates the number of orphan galaxies
fk,cen Assembly bias parameter for central galaxies
fk,sat Assembly bias parameter for satellite galaxies
βlum The timescale parameter that determines how long satellite galaxies survive inside their host haloes

HOD

Parameter Description

Mmin The halo mass at which half of the haloes are populated by a central galaxy
σlogM The smoothness of the transition from zero to one central galaxy per halo
M1 The mass at which there is, on average, one satellite galaxy per halo
Mcut The minimum halo mass for hosting satellites
α The power-law slope of the halo mass/number of satellite galaxies relation
f_ic Incompleteness parameter
αcen Velocity bias parameter for central galaxies
αsat Velocity bias parameter for satellite galaxies
OVcen Occupancy variation parameter by halo concentration for central galaxies
OVsat Occupancy variation parameter by halo concentration for satellite galaxies
GABcen Assembly bias parameter for central galaxies
GABsat Assembly bias parameter for satellite galaxies
ssegr Satellite segregation parameter

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
