Linear polarisation degree P′L induced by Compton scattering, for photons with an initial polarisation degree PL of 0, 0.2, 0.5 and 0.9. P′L varies strongly with the scattering direction (with φ − γ being the azimuthal scattering angle relative to the initial polarisation direction). For PL = 0 (grey), P′L is independent of the azimuthal direction by definition. The energy dependence in the 2–8 keV range is negligible.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
