Map of the DIB (left) and dust (right) fitted Gaussian half-widths of the out-of-plane dispersion. Units are parsec. Such DIB and dust density scale-heights perpendicular to the Galactic (XY) plane were derived by fitting a Gaussian function to the vertical (Z) distribution of DIBs and dust, respectively. The centroid of the Gaussian is fixed to Zmax, the distance above and below the Galactic plane with the highest dust density. See text for exclusion of spurious results.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
