Relaxation rate, ∂F/∂t, in (Jr, cos I) for various anisotropies q (left to right) and rotation α (from top to bottom), as measured in N-body simulations. The amplitudes and structures observed depend on anisotropy, and show a reshuffling towards isotropisation. Orientations redistribute toward a more affine distribution in cos I. As a result of using binning in action space and finite difference in time to compute ∂F/∂t, the expected initially sharp relaxation occurring at cos I = 0 has been smoothed and is not visible.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
