Notes. For each simplified setting, we also report the number of outer GMRES iterations (its) for the iterative solution of the linear system (4) with no preconditioning and a zero-vector initial guess, modeling the Ca I 4227 Å, Sr II 4077 Å, and Mg II h&k lines.
