Notes. The parameter t0 represents the starting time of the simulation, Teff 2 is the temperature of the youngest WD, ξ is the disc metallicity, and rc is the characteristic external radius of the disc. The choice of rc is explained in Sect. 2.2. The higher value of Teff 2 corresponds to the smaller value of t0 and vice versa. Moreover, 10τc = 35, 100, 183 yr for rc = 50, 100, 150 au, respectively (see Sect. 2.3).
