All the Kepler stars reported in Berger et al. (2018) used as the background for our reference sample. We use this to judge the evolutionary stages of the stars (main sequence, subgiants, and red giants). Most flaring stars are in the main sequence in the left panel. A similar distribution is seen for eclipsing binaries in the right panel.
