Stokes number as a function of the orbital radius for Shakura-Sunayev α = 10−3 (top panel) and α = 10−4 (bottom panel). Both panels show curves corresponding to disk accretion rates of Ṁ = 10−7 M⊙ yr−1 (red), 10−8 M⊙ yr−1 (black), and 10−9 M⊙ yr-1 (blue). Despite being quantitatively distinct, each profile is characterized by a St ∝ r9/10 scaling, as well as a dramatic (factor of ~100) increase in St across the ice sublimation front, owing to a change in the fragmentation threshold.
