Result of the GMM applied to the distribution of Galactic proper motions for ϖ-background stars in Baade’s window. The red and blue bivariate Gaussian distributions correspond to the bulge and to the μ-foreground population, respectively. The black curve is the sum of the two Gaussian distributions, and the crosses mark the position of the mean of the distributions. The parameters of the two distributions are summarized in Table 1.
