RSFR is derived assuming a circular region with area derived from SFR/ΣSFR, and the SFRs from Table 5.
An upper limit to the SFR surface density equal to the minimum value allowed by the model (i.e., yr−1 kpc−2; Narayanan & Krumholz 2014) is assumed when the model does not reproduce the observed CO SLED.
The SFR surface density is fixed to the minimum value allowed by the model (i.e., yr−1 kpc−2; Narayanan & Krumholz 2014) as this provides an acceptable fit to the observed CO SLED.
