Notes. The epoch t0 is 1989 September 1 TDB. Simulated observations are the ideal three-dimensional positions of Triton and Nereid generated with the perturbation from a given parameter’s 1σ uncertainty turned on. They are generated every 1 day over the 100-year period centered at the epoch t0. The uncertainties are obtainedfrom Table 1. The only adjusted parameters of the orbit fitting simulations are the state vectors of Triton and Nereid at the epocht0. The parameter νd is the distance residual.
