The colour coding refers to density values ranging from log nH/cm−3 = 1 (green) to 4 (purple). G0 increases with increasing symbol size, taking values of 5, 20, 100, 200, and 500. To obtain the total molecular gas mass, which would include He, an additional factor of 1.36 (Asplund et al. 2009) should also be included for the total mass. We note that MH2 in the CO-emitting region is very sensitive to the depth at which the models are stopped which corresponds to AV ∼ 10 mag here.
