Panels a–c: coplanar elliptical binary system with e = 0.5, Ω₁ = Ω₂ = 0°, ω₁ = 0, ω₂ = 180°, clouds orbits in both BLRs have random eccentricities and Ω_c1 = Ω_c2 = 100°, ω_c1 = 110°, ω_c2 = 290°; panels d–f show that the plane of the more massive SMBH orbit is inclined by 30°, clouds in both disc-like BLR have an orientation ω_c1 = 50°, ω_c2 = 230°, and the remaining orbital parameters are the same as in panels a–c and g–i, except that the orbital eccentricities of the clouds are e_c1 = 0.5 and e_c2 = 0.1 and their orientations are randomised, all other orbital parameters are the same as in panels a–c; in panels j–l, the binary orbital configuration is the same as for panels d–f, but the orbital parameters of the clouds are random in both BLRs.
