Fig. 14

Darwin diagram for CoRoT-30 b (blue) and CoRoT-31 b (green). The total angular momentum in units of the critical angular momentum is plotted vs. the observed mean motion of the orbit of the planet in units of the critical mean motion. The dashed line is the locus of spin-orbit synchronization. The current positions of the systems are shown with coloreddots and corresponding error bars. The tidal evolution would follow the dotted colored line of constant total angular momentum if magnetic braking were negligible. On the other hand, the solid colored lines show the locus of the pseudo-equilibrium, where the angular momentum loss due to the wind is balanced by the angular momentum transferred from the orbit.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
