The contours for the model simulations are drawn at 1, 5, 9, 20, 40, and 60% of the peak of the emission. The two outermost contours for the synthetic observations correspond to the 6σ and 12σ levels, the rest start at 30σ and increase in steps of 80σ (see Table 1 for the noise values).
