Notes. The BIC and evidence values and its uncertainties correspond to the mean and the sample standard deviation obtained from the ten realisations of the synthetic samples, each containing the expected number of cluster members (3290). The uncertainty of the evidence also contains, added in quadrature, the value reported by the MultiNest algorithm (Feroz et al. 2009). For comparison, we also show the parameters of the power-laws and log normal functions of Bouy et al. (2015b), Kroupa (2001) and Chabrier et al. (2005).
