VLA images the VHS 1256–1257 system (unresolved central binary AB) at X band made from 1 GHz subsets of the total data. From top to bottom, the center frequencies are 8.5, 9.5, 10.5, and 11.5 GHz, respectively. The peak flux density decreases from 63 μJy (top) to 45 μJy (bottom image).
