Extinction cross-section per H as a function of inverse wavelength, for 0.1% of the gas mass in the form of carbon, distributed in a power-law from 3 to 100 nm with an index α = −4.5. Four opticalproperties for carbon are compared: BE and ACH2 (Zubko et al. 1996), a-C(:H) (Jones et al. 2013) and graphite (Draine & Lee 1984).
