Table 5

Upper limits to HOCH2CN column density in PRIMOS, IRAM, and Herschel HEXOS observations toward Sgr B2(N) for several common conditions.

Tr (K) Source size (′′) Upper limit column density (cm-2)

8 20 8 × 1012
18 20 8 × 1013
26b 200b 2 × 1013
80 5 2 × 1015
130 5 4 × 1015
200 5 8 × 1015
200b 200b 7 × 1014

Notes.

(a)

We estimate the uncertainties in the upper limits to be ~30%, largely arising from absolute flux calibration and pointing uncertainties.

(b)

Values were chosen for comparison to CH3NCO detection from Halfen et al. (2015) and Cernicharo et al. (2016). A source size of 200′′ follows the assumption that the source completely fills the beam.
